The head of interpretation at the Mary Rose Museum, Christopher Dobbs, and head of development Sally Tyrrell share their experiences on the evolving project of the Mary Rose

How did you get involved in the project? Christopher Dobbs: I studied archaeology at Cambridge University where we had a series of lectures on maritime archaeology, which really inspired me. I had also learnt how to dive and at the time there were few people who were qualified in both areas, so I was just in the right place at the right time. In terms of maritime archaeology, the Mary Rose was a dream project! I even accompanied Prince Charles on five out of the nine dives he took himself. When you agreed to take part, did you realise just how significant it would be?
