… LA MURALLA DE LUGO TENÍA CINCO PUERTAS EN ÉPOCA ROMANA?

La muralla romana es uno de los principales atractivos de la ciudad de Lugo. Originariamente, tenía las siguientes puertas de acceso: [1] Porta Miñá, que la unía con Iria Flavia y Padrón, al sur de La Coruña; [2] Porta Falsa, también conocida como Porta del Boquete, que iba hacia la costa y al Lucus Asturum (actual Asturias); [3] Porta de San Pedro, por donde entraban las calzadas procedentes de Asturica Augusta (Astorga) y Braccara Augusta (Braga); [4] Porta Nova, hacia Brigantium en La Coruña; y [5] la Porta de Santiago o puerta del Postigo, la única que se mantenía abierta en tiempos de peste.
