SUS VÍCTIMAS, CINCO JÓVENES OBREROS QUE RECLAMABAN MEJORES CONDICIONES LABORALES, FUERON MASACRADOS A LA SALIDA DE LA IGLESIA EN LA QUE SE HABÍAN CONCENTRADO CON OTROS MUCHOS TRABAJADORES. LA LÍNEA DURA SE IMPUSO A LA PAZ Y LA PALABRA, Y EL CASO SE CERRÓ EN FALSO. ESTA PELÍCULA, OBRA DEL DEBUTANTE VÍCTOR CABACO, RECREA AQUELLOS HECHOS.

Víctor Cabaco (Santander, 1967) ha sido ayudante de dirección en largometrajes y capítulos de series; ahora debuta como director en la pantalla grande con este relato de unos sucesos de la reciente historia de España, cuando el país intentaba salir de la dictadura franquista y trataba de conquistar libertades con el esfuerzo y el dolor de tantos españoles. A primeros de 1976, recién muerto Franco, los movimientos sindicales, estudiantiles y ciudadanos empiezan a hacerse notar con fuerza en el panorama político. El gobierno presidido por Carlos Arias mira con preocupación la agitación obrera de Vitoria, donde las empresas más importantes viven continuas jornadas de huelga que amenazan con extenderse al resto del Estado.
