This tablescape draws inspiration from Dutch master painters of the 17th century. Attention to detail, the interplay of light on flowers and fabrics, and highlighting the beauty in nature are hallmarks of Dutch master still lifes. Here, the floral centrepiece is the focal point. Guests will be enchanted and drawn to the many compotes and bowls overflowing with fruits and berries. Plums, figs, grapes, pears and pomegranates add to the sultry palette and create an opportunity for your guests to nibble as they await the first course. The table starts with a dusty blue-grey table cover. The muted blue reads as a neutral backdrop, allowing the mauve napkins to pop.
