The potential is unprecedented—the technology not only transforms routine work but brings the power of AI to creative and knowledge work, putting companies in a position to not only achieve great gains in productivity but also create entirely new paths for enterprise reinvention. To pursue those paths, company leaders should first seek to understand the potential impact of gen AI on their particular industry, which could be much larger than it might now appear.
