Leif GW ser slutet på livsresan: ”Jag släcker ned”

Den folkkäre kriminologen fyllde 80 år den 12 mars. Nu meddelar jubilaren dock att firandet ställdes in, på grund av hälsoskäl.

När Leif GW Persson under 80-talet festade som värst trodde han inte att han skulle bli gammal. Förra veckan fyllde han 80. – Jag skulle haft kalas, men jag har lite problem med hälsan så jag väntar med det. Det blir bara familjen. Den är å andra sidan ganska stor, berättade han inför dagen för Aftonbladet. Det mesta kring kriminalprofessorn, författaren och tv-profilen Persson handlar numera om hälsan, som förstås påverkar hans vardag. – Jag sitter mest hemma. Jag har slutat snusa och jag dricker nästan inte längre. Det som återstår nu är att sluta läsa och sedan sluta tänka. Då har man avslutat den aktiva livsresan. Det är ju så att man släcker ned omkring sig, säger han. Överkonsumtionen av alkohol slutade han med då hans läkare var tveksam om…
