BRAVE NEW WORLD I’m a bit of a latecomer to playing… or trying to play. In the past few months I’ve learned this is the most frustrating hobby I can pursue. The anguish of trying to learn a new chord/riff, etc, is only matched by the joy of it making sense in my head and my fingers. I know I’ll never sell out Wembley – I don’t need to, I doubt I’ll ever play to the outside world. I don’t do this for other people, this is for me, it allows me to focus on one thing. So I’ll continue to take joy in the little victories (new riff/chord) that will sustain (no pun intended) me through my practice. Above everything else, it has to be fun. Don Brown, via…
