GET WELL SPOON I’d like to point R Taylor (of the stuck Strat knob) and, indeed, yourselves to a free and 100 per cent safe and effective method of knob removal (no sniggering at the back, please…). I’m referring to the soon-to-be famous ‘two teaspoon trick’. Simply get two of the aforementioned spoons from the kitchen drawer and place the tip of both under the stubborn knob directly opposite each other. Now, gently push the end of both spoon handles downward. A combination of leverage and the rolling action of the back of the spoons will make the knob pop right off. Works great on acoustic bridge pins, too. This little trick has saved me from many a frustration over the years. Here’s hoping it helps others out there, too!…
