Takamine has long had the stage acoustic thing sorted.After last month’s missive on my own acoustic struggles where I forgot to mention an EAN10C that served my gigging needs for years, this handsome model caught my eye. It’s in one of my favourite cities, too, and this little corner has neglected Scotland, so let’s put both things right. Koa is a lovely tonewood in the mahogany vein but with much cooler grain.Tonally, think earthy blues, Americana and so on. This one comes with the superb CoolTube preamp that offers awesome power and tone, plus onboard EQ, tuning and all the usual Takamine niceties.
