CORRÍA el año 2002 cuando Audemars Piguet encantó a los coleccionistas con su primer reloj Concept, pieza en la que experimentaba con materiales e innovaciones que podrían resultar arriesgadas, pero que confirmaban el carácter trendsetter de su pieza icónica, Royal Oak, creada por el gran Gerald Genta en 1972. Con motivo del 30 aniversario de dicho modelo, nació el Royal Oak Concept con una caja de Alacrite 602, material creado para la aviación y que se distingue por su capacidad antioxidante, antisulfática, ultra resistente, y obviamente antimagnética, para hacer un reloj extrafuerte y moderno.
