Police spokesperson Warrant Officer Joseph Swartbooi confirmed the incident and said that the circumstances surrounding this incident are now under investigation.
He says: “Bellville South police responded to a complaint on Wednesday 5 March 2025. Upon their arrival in Robert Sobukwe Drive at about 8.30am they found a Toyota Quantum and a Kia involved in a collision.
“Further investigation revealed the bodies of three females who sustained fatal injuries. The victims were declared deceased on the scene by the medical personnel.”
Furthermore, 11 victims were transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
