Take me out to the boat show

This time every year I write the same thing: I like boat shows. Considering the Sydney International Boat Show is the biggest in Australia, I like this the best. I wonder if the Boating Industry Association has ever calculated how much money in products is actually on display during the time of the show. It could be a frightening statistic. But, while frightening, it would display the significance suppliers to the marine recreation give to boat shows. It is incumbent upon us, as consumers, to repay that confidence and, at the very least, indulge them with our interest in what they have to offer. Surely the most committed of exhibitors must be the yacht agencies. The cost involved to bring in at least two yachts and get them looking absolutely…
