Kinga Masztalerz set a new women’s paragliding record in New Zealand. It wasn’t easy

At the beginning of January I had two days flying at Cardrona in Otago, between Wanaka and Queenstown in New Zealand’s South Island. On Monday 4 January I struggled in the air, putting all my energy into fighting with my wing. Despite very good conditions I landed, not even trying to go for any kind of XC flight. I felt uncomfortable and unsafe, thinking that I’d sell my wing and maybe even stop paragliding. The next day was a day that reminded me of the love that I have for paragliding. Having loads of fun in the air with my wing I got to explore some of the beautiful mountains in the Southern Alps and as a cherry on the top I broke the NZ women’s paragliding record.
