WONDER BOY As a child, Burt was an avid reader of comic books. Ironically, his favorite was Superman. SUPER SIDEKICK He won the role of Robin at age 19. “Batman was a show that appealed to all ages,” he notes. “And it was very funny.” SONG IN HIS HEART At the height of the series’ popularity, in 1966, Burt released several singles produced by avant-garde composer and performer Frank Zappa. DYNAMIC DUO He and Adam West also hit the big screen in 1966’s Batman: The Movie. HERO’S WORK Burt’s voiceover projects included playing Barnacle Boy on an episode of SpongeBob SquarePants.
