Toujours attentif au geste d’Ebert, dont il avait saisi le vocabulaire mozartien au long de leur Così fan tutte de la saison passée, il imposa une relecture drastique du texte, rendant l’ouvrage dans son intégrité (les récitatifs enfin accompagnés par le clavecin, Raymond Leppard s’en charge) mais surtout dans son intégralité.
