Modern classics safe from locally boosted scrappage offers – for the time being

Classics less than 40 years old face another Ultra Low Emissions Zone Cthreat: that of local borough council scrappage schemes. Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, called for further support from the 32 London councils in replacing non-compliant vehicles on top of Transport For London’s (TfL’s) own £110m, £2000-per-car scrappage initiative, which was opened to all Greater Londoners and those in the City of London from August 21. If enacted, local scrappage offers could be combined with TfL’s to anyone with a qualifying vehicle.
