Luke Calver is now enjoying the fruits of his late-night labour, having originally raced to finish his sleeper Mk2 four-door Ghia the night before his wedding!

I had a Mk2 Escort back in the day,” says Luke Calver, repeating a familiar tale, “and the running joke was that I’d get married once the Escort was finished, but I sold it to buy a house and be an adult. I found this one in May 2022, as a driveable but rough project.
