Long time Ford fan, Steve Sillwood never expected his Anglia project to take an 17 years to complete. Now propelled by Zetec power along with an array of cool parts, the end result has been well worth the wait!

Compared to Escorts, Capris, Fiestas and perhaps even Cortinas, we don’t come across quite so many freshly modified Anglia 105Es these days. Fortunately, there are still fans of the old Anglebox out there such as Steve Sillwood, who was certainly in it for the long haul when it came to this stunning 1966 saloon. “I probably developed my passion for Fords thanks to my dad,” Steve remembers. “He had a 100E, Zephyrs, Cortinas and a Granada, and in turn I went on to own and drive Anglias including the van derivatives, a Mk2 Lotus Cortina along with a Mk1 Escort pick-up.” The latter was quite an unusual beast, not only due to the unusual pick-up conversion but also because it ran a 3.1 V6. “I kept the Escort for 25…
