Petit coronas may not be the best-selling size, but these little smokes can offer a tremendous amount of flavor and complexity. Cuban petit coronas in particular tend to perform well in our tastings, and this issue was no exception. Two cigars from Havana scored 93 points, and both represent two of Cuba’s most recognizable brands. The Cohiba Siglo I is part of Cohiba’s Línea 1492, launched in 1992 to honor the 500th anniversary of Columbus’ arrival in Cuba. It’s the smallest size in the line but smokes brilliantly, as does the Montecristo No. 5, which is the smallest size in Montecristo’s numeral series (Nos. 1 through 5).
