Siphokazi Vuso siphokazi.vuso@inl.co.za THE Undertakers United Front Western Cape (UUFWC) said it was concerned by reports that families had not been allowed to view bodies of those deceased by certain undertaking groups and mortuaries, despite regulations allowing viewing for identification purposes.
This comes as widow Patiswa Mhlauli relived the funeral of her late husband, Thamsanqa, on Monday after she was alerted by funeral service provider Avbob, three hours after his burial on Friday, that they had buried the wrong body.
Avbob apologised to the family, saying it was human error that had led to the delivery of the wrong body.
“We will do whatever we can to resolve the matter and assist the family in getting closure,” the funeral service provider said.
