I'll be honest: when the subject of sustainability arises – as it often does nowadays – I struggle mentally to formulate and express my feelings clearly about this hugely important topic. The climate crisis is – to my mind at least – irrefutably real; we as a species are over-exploiting our natural resources and the need for large-scale change is undeniable.
On an individual level it's easy to be more mindful of what you buy, how much you recycle and who you give your business to, but when you read scientific articles that show your paid seat on a single long-haul flight can, in one journey, undo the positive effects of years of recycling… well, it's disheartening, isn't it.
