BACKGROUND Hôtel des Grands Voyageurs opened on Paris's Left Bank in November 2023, following an extensive renovation of a former Holiday Inn property. WHERE IS IT? On the corner of rue de Vaugirard and rue de l'Abbé Grégoire in the quiet neighbourhood of Saint-Placide. It's a beautiful area filled with galleries, boutiques and bijou restaurants. WHAT'S IT LIKE? The hotel lobby features a dark and sultry design by Italian designer Fabrizio Casiraghi. The ethos is Paris-meets-NYC, with inspiration drawn from the 1930's golden age of travel. The design speaks to the “grands voyageurs”, the hotel's well-travelled guests, and displays a series of items collected from around the world – including works by Gustav Klimt. ROOMS The hotel's 130 rooms start off small at 12 sqm but increase to 21 sqm.…
