Loyal travellers benefit as Lufthansa launches private suites that will initially be invitation-only

LUFTHANSA HAS launched its long-awaited Allegris first class suites, initially operating on flights to Bengaluru and Mumbai. The carrier had intended to introduce the product alongside its new business, premium economy and economy seating, which launched in May, but delays led to the first Allegris-fitted A350 aircraft entering service without a first class cabin. The first class cabin features just two individual suites and a “globally unique” Suite Plus, with two seats that convert into a double bed, plus features including near-ceiling-high walls and a lockable sliding door. To begin with, the suites are being offered by invitation-only to its “most loyal guests”, with targeted upgrades and then bookings being made available as more aircraft with Allegris first class enter service.
