Let’s continue our thinking by asking you now to look at these two images – what do you see or notice? Image 1 is The Muller-Lyer Illusion, which is an optical illusion based on what you ‘see’. It was first created by a German psychologist (someone who studies human behaviour) called, Franz Carl Muller-Lyer, in 1889. The lines appear to be different lengths but, actually, they are the same length! The Hermann Grid illusion is another optical illusion.…
