‘My decorations are based around the ideas of bringing nature indoors, spreading light during the darker months and the act of making, gathering and sharing rather than buying - you don’t need to buy things.’ Arune adds, ‘in Lithuania where I grew up it’s very dark in the winter, so Christmas is about sharing warmth and hope for the new season.’

Arune creates winter scenes by drawing onto linocut - which you can get cheaply in craft stores - and printing on to card. ‘This year I imagined a traveller being greeted by the sight of a light in a cottage window, or a child wishing for snow. It’s easy to make lots of them, which I like because it’s what you write inside that’s important.’
