■ Zwift was set up in 2014 by cycling enthusiast Eric Min and software developer Jon Mayfield in California. ■ Zwift membership is £12.99 per month but you can cancel it at any time. ■ Former pros Marco Pinotti and Chris Carmichael are amongst those who have devised training plans for the platform. ■ In early 2016, Zwift launched its own Academy which utilises the platform to test would-be riders suitability for pro racing. ■ In 2018, the KISS e-sports Professional Cycling League was launched. It uses Zwift as its competitive arena and has attracted riders from UCI Continental men’s pro teams such as Team Wiggins Le Col and Canyon-SRAM. ■ Zwifters (as Zwift users are known) recently completed the first annual Tour de Zwift – a total of 119,076…
