LONDON’S HISTORIC HERNE HILL VELODROME

Over the course of its six-decade history, Paul Smith has kept close connections to the world of cycling, owing to the eponymous Sir Paul’s passion for the sport.

This has led to collaborations with some of cycling’s most esteemed clothing brands, bike- makers, and professional teams. However, this year sees the beloved British label launching a greatly expanded collection of its own cycling apparel and accessories. Comprised of jerseys, bib shorts, base layers, and lightweight jackets, alongside accessories such as socks, gloves, and caps, the collection features some of the brand’s most recognisable visual motifs, like its iconic Signature Stripe. The range combines Paul Smith’s unmistakeable use of colour and pattern with the high-quality technical construction found in offerings from dedicated cycling companies. To put the collection through its paces and demonstrate its capability, Paul Smith teamed with south London’s Herne Hill Velodrome – one of the oldest velodromes in the world – to dress six amateur cyclists…
