The history of your maison. When was it born? Which are the most significant steps you made in the evolution of the tecnique and in your production? The Cleverley name goes back over 100 years. The actual business and first location was opened in 1958 in London’s Cork Street. The business moved to Old Bond Street in London approx 25 years ago and is in the same location today. George Cleverley developed a signature toe shape which has since become very famous and referred to as “suspecially square”. The company is one of the last family owned and operated shoemakers left in the world today. We are making our shoes the same today as we did 70 years ago.
