Scraps of feet and playing with the sea, it was defined by the oceanographer Jacques-Yves Coisteau. On board of his Calypso, the French explorer sailed for years in the warm waters of the Indian Ocean, pushing the labyrinthine archipelago of the Maldives, including remote reef, white sand languages uninhabited and small fishing villages. A paradise on the water, mostly covered by the sea, consists of 1,190 islands spread over 26 atolls, of which only about 200 are inhabited, a hundred exclusive abode of eco-friendly resort.
