The owners of this home in Sydney’s eastern suburbs see the light in alluring ways. Evoking the spirit of Isamu Noguchi’s iconic light sculptures, the luminous spaces glow like a lantern at night, creating a magical after-five glamour. But the interiors are equally inviting during the day when, bathed in a dappled interplay of natural light and shade, they’re more family-oriented. When the owners bought the property in 2017, it was much less inviting. A prosaic three-level brick dwelling with a pitched roof and limited openings squandered the view and provided scant indoor-outdoor connection. The next year, they hired architect Bevan Boss of Bevan Boss Design to begin afresh and he, in turn, recommended Alexandra Kidd Interior Design for the interiors, with studio director Jessica Gombault taking the hot seat.…
