Imagine the disappointment. You’ve got two Indycar race wins, but have long held designs on a Formula 1 drive. You’re also in advanced talks with sponsors to put together a package for a full grand prix season, but first comes a flight to Europe for your maiden F1 test. Finally you get in the car, but are only permitted a solitary installation lap before your day is run.
