If you want an older sports coupé that’s accessible and fun to drive, the Nissan 200SX could be just the ticket. The S13 ‘Silvia’, badged as the 200SX in Europe, was launched in 1988 and available until 1994. It was light, tipping the scales at a reputed 1189kg, rear-wheel drive and turbocharged — an ideal recipe for automotive entertainment. Its 1.8-litre turbocharged petrol engine produced 171bhp and 165lb ft, which was sent to the rear wheels via a five-speed manual or a four-speed automatic. With the preferred manual gearbox, the 200SX proved suitably lively, with the 0-60mph sprint being dispatched in less than seven seconds.
