HOW TO ENTER THIS YEAR’S AWARD

UK-based students can submit a 500-word exposition of an industry-improving idea, innovation or change to corporate policy on the Next Generation website at autocar.co.uk/nextgenerationaward . This year’s deadline is 1 September. Submissions are welcomed from all disciplines, including — but not limited to — engineering, marketing and communications, design and media, with special credit given for originality. The best entrants are selected for a Dragons’ Den-style interview process hosted by Autocar and representatives of the Award’s five automotive sponsors — Toyota, Skoda, Jaguar Land Rover, Peugeot and McLaren — who also act as mentors for the shortlisted candidates. The overall winner gets five one-month work experience stints and £7500.…
