The greatest proper used off-roader of all time is without doubt the Toyota Land Cruiser. There are decades’ worth of Cruisers, but for our purposes, it is realistically the 80-series that was a bigger and better way to do things. It was slightly gentrified in 1995 with airbags and anti-lock brakes, but these models are the real indestructibles that refuse to break down, or be particularly affordable, if you can find one.
