This month, I’m celebrating a milestone. It’s been 12 months since I decided to put myself first. I know what you’re thinking: “Who even contemplates that? Let alone does it?” And a year ago, I would have had the same reaction. But hear me out. Now when I say “put myself first”, what I really mean is listening to what my mind is telling me I need, rather than pretending I can’t hear those thoughts because I’ve got a million other things to do. It’s a scenario that will be familiar to many. I knew my diet was erratic as I fitted in around the wants and needs of those around me.
