In the third and final part of our Allan Moffat profile we fire some probing questions at the four-time Bathurst and ATCC winner. His answers provide an insight into what makes the racing great tick.

Allan and Arthur There are two very different sides to Allan George Moffat. His two personalities are so different that Moffat is known to some people as Allan and Arthur. Allan is the flinty-edged racer and champion who only cared about success, while Arthur is the easy-going socialite who comes out from hiding when the racing is done and the pressure is off. These days it’s mostly smiling Arthur doing the Moffat story but, back in the day, lots of people had to deal with Allan. This extraordinary Jekyll-and-Hyde personality was exposed in the early 1980s, at a party hosted by Moffat at his then-home in Monaro (truly) Crescent in Toorak.
