Microsoft announced the general availability of the Azure Monitor Agent back in 2021 after the consolidation of existing monitoring solutions for the Azure cloud environment. Companies that still use the legacy Log Analytics Agent need to think about making the change in good time because it will reach its end of support in 2024.
