Organic Life Magazine

Even though they may have changed the name from Organic Gardening, it's still one of the top 5 magazine/periodicals for the organic gardener out there.
I enjoy the well-rounded presentation of the organic lifestyle articles and glean so much information from even a quick read on the train to work.

The organic life magazine has yuppied up where the articles before were about gardening and the environment they now consist of a lot of useless drivel with no value for the commpn farmer and homesteader too bad because I liked the old organic gardener magazine and looked forward to reading articles every month that were useful to everyday people instead of rich city people who are out of sync with the rest of us so now I guess its mother earth news and grit so sad for you

This is a beautiful publication, the kind that is so pretty that you hang onto and refer back to for a long time.

My biggest complaint is that it does seem geared to higher income people who live in a house with a yard. For me, on a modest income, it doesn't seem practical. It seems geared toward families with money, where the parents, probably the mother, read the publication. This is for those who want to grow their own food, have their own chickens, use non toxic cleaning supplies, and they have the financial means to do all of this. It's not geared toward apartment or condo dwellers.

Also, why are horoscopes in there? I guess they are trying to appeal to the Gen Ys and Millenials who want to "go natural" but also don't understand science.

It's like they are trying to be an upscale Farmer's Almanac meets Mother Earth News.

I renewed, but ONLY because I got a really good deal on it. It's not practical, but it is a lovely publication, and I do think there's a place for it in the magazines world. I have the first three issues, and perhaps, with times, it will become more practical for those like me - modest incomes who live in apartments and condos.

It's definitely an "aspirational lifestyle" magazine, but it's still an enjoyable read.

The magazine is nice but I enjoyed the more in-depth info that was in Prganic Gardening. Too much fluff.

Great tips and recipes to enhance my gardening experience.

Gave it as a gift to my organic gardener, maple sugarig, bee raising, pheasant hunting husband...so thought it was fitting!

I subscribed to Organic Gardening for decades. Then it changed to Organic Life which tells you it is now more of a lifestyle mag. Not as good as it use to be as a reference for home gardening but I still enjoy it. Not as much of course and I don't save these issues as I did Organic Gardening.

Up to date information for leading cleaner healthier life.

I love all the great ideas and natural ways to garden and eat. Tonight I made a recipe from my magazine (delicious). If you get a chance to read the anniversary issue that came out recently, do it! Amazing how the things Mr. Rodale said 50 years ago are relevant today. A great way to unwind after a long day.
