Not worth it any more...

Really disappointed with how far CR has fallen. It used to Have tons of great info to help me make quality purchases. Now its mainly Op-ed pieces supporting progressive views with a some testing/rating of stuff sprinkled in. Stop all the op-ed stuff and go back to your core competency.

No Longer Worth Buying

I built a library shelf to keep the old copies. Now, with the new editor, I throw them away and am cancelling my years long subscription. Look at the table of contents, there are few listings for brand name ratings for many products, only generalized comments. For example, it tells you what tires would be good but now why -- and why the others aren't as good. Save your money and find sites with the information they used to supply.

Not sure.

The magazine has gone down in value as the hired a poor publisher and are director. Some of the test data is of value but the magazine quality has gone down. They are focused on a digital magazine witch has pulled the print magazine value down. It is apparent the Art Director does not have the talent to deal with forms of publishing. I have sent e-mails about this and the publisher does not care! I have been a subscriber for 20 years and have 35 years of publishing experience and I can say if they don't change they will go out of business soon! I hope they adapt before they fail!

Not the magazine of 10 years ago.

Hugely disappointed with how an excellent magazine of less than 10 years ago has been changed by management.
From being an honorable institution it has been downgraded to a carrot on a stick for an internet subscription.
Obviously, stuffed shirts and blouses are more interested in their bonus, than the reputation of an older honorable institution. I will not renew my subscription.

I subscribed for decades

I'm 72 years old and started with this magazine when I was in high school. They changed it 15 or so years ago and it's gone downhill ever since. It wasn't broken and they tried to fix it. I finally quit about 8 years ago. If I need to look something up in consumers reports, I can do so on line with my library card.

Disappointing!

3 issues and have not found anything that interests me! Also, some of your articles are OLD NEWS!
I had a subscription before and that was 10 times better-more informative information! WILL NOT EXTEND MY SUBSCRIPTION after this one respires!

I would never buy this again

When I got this magazine, I thought i would have access to all of the reports that are online. I was mistaken. I'm not that impressed with the magazine because it gives ratings on many things that you may not be interested in buying at the time.

To Political and Liberal for me...

Instead of just reviewing products and sharing the results,. Consumer Reports has become incredibly opinionated versus just sharing the facts. Why would they have a multi page article about how to take good pictures if you are black? Consumer reports is not the place for this type of an article, photography photography magazine maybe? Too many of their political recommendations and petition signing requests might suit their needs but not mine. I will not be renewing my subscription, there are just too many other places to get objective reviews of any type of product. They also now take money from the companies that they review if you use the link provided to purchase. Which compromises the integrity of the work they do. I miss the old Consumer Reports

This will be done in another few years

This magazine is not what it used to, as are the others that I subscribe to.
